Amelia is the Publication Director at the Environmental Health Clinics + Lab (xClinic), where she uses new and online media along with more traditional formats to publish and hone the public face of xClinic. She is a visiting scholar at NYU and an MFA candidate at the School of Visual Arts’ recently inaugurated Design Criticism program (D-Crit). A curator, designer and writer, she studied design and architecture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Before settling in graduate school life in New York, she was located in London where she thrived within Arup’s Foresight and Innovation team, developing design and architecture collaborations with contemporary artists in their Phase2 space. Amelia is particularly interested in the role of sensory perception in design and the words that designers have used to describe this new landscape of sensory experience.
