Fish on Bikes Tour
Join us for at noon on October 18, 2009 at the Bronx River Arts Center for a bike tour of New York’s aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and both of the Amphibious Architectures sites, as well as presentations by Mark Bain, Natalie Jeremijenko, David Benjamin and Soo-In Yang.
Schedule:
noon – 2pm: Meet at Bronx River Arts Center for presentations by Mark Bain, Natalie Jeremijenko and others.
2:30 – 6:00pm: Riders depart for a 16 mile ride (approximately 2hrs ) with stops along the way, ending at the East River site.
6:30pm: Presentations by David Benjamin, Soo-In Yang and Natalie Jeremijenko and night time viewing of the array.
Non-bikers are invited and encouraged to meet us at both the Bronx River Arts Center and the East River sites.
Getting there (on public transit):
1. Bronx River Arts Center – Take the #2 or #5 train to “East Tremont Ave – West Farms Sq” and walk east one block.
2. East River Site – Take the F train to “East Broadway”, head south on Rutgers St until Cherry, make a slight right and continue on Rutgers Slip until you hit South St (and the Bottom of FDR Dr), cross South St and head left along the river 100 ft, we’ll be on the cement landing to your right.
